During that time he healed the afflicted and encouraged the discouraged and preached the Kingdom of Heaven to all that would hear him. People all around the then known world had heard of Him. Despite all that He did, He and the Kingdom He represented were rejected. God, through the prophets Daniel and John, said that the world, after rejecting the ministry of the true Christ, Jesus, would have the opportunity to experience the ministry of the Antichrist. The Day / Year Principle Back in the days of Moses, God told His people to posess the land of Canaan. It was an exceeding good land described as being "a land which floweth with milk and honey" Numbers 14:8 However, after sending spies into the land for 40 days who confirmed that it was an exceedingly good land, the majority of the people were afraid to move forward and obey God. God finally told them: "How long [shall I bear with] this evil congregation, which murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against me. Say unto them, [As truly as] I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you: Your carcases shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward, which have murmured against me, The Israelites had to wander in the wilderness for another 40 years.Doubtless ye shall not come into the land, [concerning] which I sware to make you dwell therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun. But your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, them will I bring in, and they shall know the land which ye have despised. But [as for] you, your carcases, they shall fall in this wilderness. And your children shall wander in the wilderness forty years, and bear your whoredoms, until your carcases be wasted in the wilderness. After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, [even] forty days, each day for a year, shall ye bear your iniquities, [even] forty years, and ye shall know my breach of promise." Numbers 14:27-34 For every day that the Israelites, via their spies, saw the good of the land and rejected it, God appointed a them another year of wandering in the wilderness. The 1260 year Public Ministry of the Antichrist The Antichrist beast of Revelation 13.For every day of Christ's public ministry of 3 1/2 years the world would now get to experience a year of the ministry of the antichrist. "And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty [and] two months." Revelation 13:5 The Antichrist's Deadly Wound After 3 and 1/2 years of public ministry the Bible prophecies predicted that Jesus would be "cut off" or killed. The prophecies likewise predicted that after 1260 years of it's "ministry" the antichrist would receive a "deadly wound." The Bible also predicted that eventually the "deadly wound" would heal and the antichrist would again continue his "ministry."
